This past week was my birthday and my inlaws came today for my 2 year olds birthday, we are a week apart. They gave me a birthday gift, the best Ive ever gotten. He is the manager of a gas station, and evidently picks up anything that someone turns in that is different than the usual currency. He gave me, 44 Franklins, 45 pre-70 Kennedys, 4 Walkers, 1 SLQ, 9 pre-64 quarters, a 21 Morgan, and a 93 ASE. Plus a John Wayne Medal. I was floored! He said that this is just what he picked up this year.
I did ask what someone bought with the medal, he said he thinks an employee let the customer use it like a dollar.
Sounds like Dad-in-law's got a good eye for stuff out of the ordinary. And just this year alone with those? He was generous indeed to hand 'em off to you....
44 Franklins! You probably have the best father in law in the world, needless to say Christmas is coming and he should be at the top of your list, directly under your wife and kid.
That's crazy! 44 Frankies....that's a pretty good amount of silver. Being that silver is going up fast, I say that is alot of money in melt value.
, I forgot the 4 proof Ikes too. I told him that is WAY too much, but couldnt get him to take it. I am definitely getting him an awesome Christmas gift, plus he's getting his first grandson in February :smile
