    wierd penny 001.jpg wierd penny 002.jpg I was roll searching and I found this. Thetexture is too wierd. I cant figure it out.... Not even the date. wierd penny 003.jpg


    The reverse is plain as day and run of the mill apearence....

    Please tell me its real. MAKE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!:hail::hail: or spoil it:dead-horse:

    Well dang it.... Well thats alright... I did also find a 1953 s wheat penny, so it was worth my effort. Thanks for the info and my five mins of false hope :)

    RB13, I actually collecti PMD coins. As ikandiggit states it´s a great resource for educating your self and maby one day others. And belive me when I say I have a quite few of them that I thought were real. It happens to ever error collector. So i´m going to say. Cool looking PMD coin you have there :)

    Turns out they made them look like dimes in the 40's to fool vending machines

    You might try laquer thinner on it. They did coat cents with this to conserve the finish for a number of years. Almost looks like it was blow torched?

    Or it could have been attacked with a rotary brush? Many ways to ruin a cent.

    I hang on to the acid dipped ones, chrome plated ones, etc. It's a seperate box. Can be used for reference, education, whatever. The cost is very little, and since I keep all copper anyway, it's just more junk to have.

    just like my avatar.. and they are correct.. its an acid job.. I kept mine cause its cool looking.. I call it my wavy scent!
