Going through the registers at closing time today, as every day and pulled out some nickels, a few cents, and a silver dime. Was excited about the dime find, and almost didn't even look through the rest as they weren't in very good shape, but the fiance talked me into checking them at least, and I ran across this. I'm 99% certain this is the 1954 S over D error, but wanted that extra 1%, so here I am... And here she is.. I can't tell what's going on there, but it's definitely not OMM-001. The mint mark is not in the correct location.
I have a similar coin. It's not the valuable S over D, but I am inclined to think it's probably an S over D anyway. Not an expert at all, though.
