Struck Through Grease? "200-" penny

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by cookiemonster12, Oct 20, 2010.

  1. I was roll searching the other day, and I stumbled across this cent that was missing the last number in the date. Is it an actual error, or some PMD? Thanks for all of the help!

You are likely right about the grease. I suppose that it is technically an error, but it is worth 1¢ - particularly since it is the date that is messed up.

  4. Wooh, 1¢! :) Well, still nice that I found some sort of error. Thanks for the help!

i would say more than 1 cent put it on ebay see what you get.

Some people collect stuff like this. You could get 50 cents for it if you find the right buyer. Or, if you name it right and create enough hype, you could have the next ebay sensation, lol.

I also found one. 2-0-0-blank. Much less common than anything else that comes out of the Denver mint.
