I recently found a 1958 Jefferson with a straight line strike through the back of Jeffersons head. The strike is a little less than half a centimeter in width and is the length of the coin but the strike does not effect the edges of the coin. Can someone tell me what this might be. Thanks. :)

Sounds like maybe a die clash. The straight line being the base of Monticello.
