I debated where to post this picture, so I apologize ahead of time if I need to be in the US Coins or What Its Worth category. Anyways I was wondering is this an error in the metal mixture or what would cause these horizontal cracks on this coin. They do not go all the way through just on the side you see. Is this common for a 1941? Does this help the value? Thanks in advance Mike B
Nice lamination. Will not command a huge premium, but maybe a few bucks. You can read about them here: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/Errors/Laminations.html
Thanks... I have these old penny, dime, and nickel books left behind from grandparents and I would have to say that pennies are one of my favs SO FAR ( just started collecting about a week ago)... Ive got some woodgrain ones and also a few red toners... I like the variety you get and the fact that I can find them in everyday change makes it that much more exciting! Thanks for the reply...
