    I got a star $1 note in change today: A01810254* series 2003.

I also got a 2003 $1 L33377219A note with the following written on the reverse: "4-20 I'm a pot head and I don't give a ****. Chucky. Weed, get high till you die ok?"

Wow... what some people will do to their money!

I pulled the bill on my avatar out of circulation almost 20 years ago. I was delivering pizzas and came across it. It is very worn (mostly my fault).

Oh man are you lucky. I wonder how much a note like that would bring. You should put it on Ebay with a super high reserve just to see what you would get.

Funny, I found a series 1999 Star $1 (not as special as 00000001 :kewl: ) in a pizza man situation: the pizza man came to the door and my grandma gave my sister money, $20, and was supposed to tell the guy to keep the change. She did not and the man gave the 1999 star to her. She threw it on the counter and I snagged it (after finding out it was okay to do so!).

Ironically, all my stars (okay, I only have two stars) from 1999.

Just had a 2003 $50 star note, but since it was worn, and had a small tear, I spent it. If it had been UNC, it would be in my collection.

It would seem to be a good collectors item, the fairly low serial, It's being
S-1999, and the fact that it's a star.

    $100 Star Notes

Collectors of $100 star notes are definitely rarer than collectors of smaller denominations therefore the demand is not so great. They are to expensive for the average collector to collect....but who knows.

Ha Ha! Did you keep any for yourself? My goal is to find any pre-1996 $20 notes-- no luck yet!!

Probably $5 to $10 per bill. Hang on them and don't fold or crunch 'em!!
As mentioned, it is hard for many to keep $100 and not spend. They are then put into circulation and-- God knows what people do with them :D !

How about this? Someone where I work paid with a $2 bill. I took a look, and it was one of the first day of issues bills, with the stamp and PO mark and everything. Upon further review, it also had a star, and was in nice crisp condition. How much does something like that go for? .... Looks like it's about time for me to invest in a digital camera, wish I could put a pic on here for everyone to see.
