I just used this awesome Photoshop tutorial to create the coin below. The website is awesome. Here's the link: http://www.emmettlollis.com/tutorials/photoshop/create-your-own-quarter.asp
Here's my handywork. I took the "liberty" of borrowing a couple pics from Teletrade as I don't have any seateds or Barbers this nice and no capped busts.
Alright, Here is mine. I call it "Susan B. Gawea" (Click to embiggen) I may adapt or change my entry based on what else is put up Cheers~ GM
Between Honey~Do Somewhere on the Honey~Do list today I found I had to fire up the old scanner. Used this as a practice scan.
More de~tail Chores done~now more fun. Rules say we get more than one submission thus now I get a chance to provide more detail via digital stuff. So I've chosen to spend the next few minutes trying to find where I stored the closeup. This gold slabbed certified by General Mills coin demonstrates the last decade needs some Dude to swing a hammer/build fences/read a book/sit on a log.........or not Plus don't forget to eat your Whole grain oats.
Thanks,Green. If had to do it over I'd take out the building and rearrange so I could have put a couple more on. Maybe make the walking a little bigger, but I already spent too much time on it. Hey coop, (inre post#51) thanks for the chuckle. I think if came upon a coin like that I'd have the same expression!
All of your designs are nice. : ) Here's a Photoshop creation done for a Flickr friend; I used his image of sphinx and pyramid as the basis. I've designed several fantasy medals and helped with design of others including one which will actually be engraved and struck.
That's a nice gif or png that preserved transparency. : ) Another trick is to place some text out there somewhere on transparent background, like your signature or information about the piece. : )
