Just thinking here recently with lewis and clark ones and new face on 2006 will they be worth collecting? New to nickel collecting
jefferson nickel Hi Bruce The Jefferson will always be a good coin to collect, and now with the new 2006. We will have a new coin and a new futuer in collecting this great coin.
I don't know if the 2003's will go up much but the series as a whole will as the new nickels come out. As a general rule of thumb any time a series changes the first and last years are saved in mass making them very common in high grades. For the 'old Jefferson series' thats 1938 and 2003.
Don't know if they will go up or not but I agree with the others in this forum in that, with the new nickel and future ones to come in the same vein, then the 2003-2005 series will probably be one to put away for the future as they will no longer be minted.
