From 1975 to 1986 (perhaps even later) the West Point Mint (then known as the West Point Silver Bullion Depository) struck Lincoln Cents. Those cents did not have mintmarks and therefore are indistinguishable from cents struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
I have a few rolls of these, so I am going to see if he wants to sell mine on consignment ? I will take $50K for any Cent I own right now. Even my 1988 D RDV-006 ? Maybe ? I know I will never get another one, and this one has been authenticated, graded and slabbed.
OK, so he's nuts. I think anyone who buys this coin for $.01 + $4.50 is leaning in that direction, too. Bruce
