Northern Mariana Islands...isn't this the lowest mintage last year?

    Northern Mariana Islands...isn't this the lowest mintage last year? so why are the mint boxes selling for at or lower then the mint's price for them? I'm confused I would think low mintage means it should be worth more then face value...or what the mint was selling for....

    maybe it's a supply and demand thing and not enough people want 'em?

    I'm still new to numismatics and was on e-bay looking up mint boxes for the past 11 years and found this backwards to what I thought it would be...

    True about the mintage.
    BUT
    If you want a PD set there over 35 million.
    Therefore you've got the "supply and demand" concept correct also.
