Sucker tattooed across my forehead?

I am pretty sure that the guys at the coin store start foaming at the mouth when they see my car. I may have ‘sucker’ tattooed across my forehead.

Anyway, can you let me know if you think about this quarter I bought today? Is it really a VF?

I like the die crack error on the reverse above the “D” in dollar but do these add value and how much?

Thanks all in advance…if I get any responses I will let you know what I paid…which I’m thinking was too much…

Also it would help if you could take the coin out of the 2X2 (so there won't be glare off the plastic) and shoot it straight on (instead of at an angle).

There is no way that coin is VF. I think it will make VG, but it is not even fine.

Gonna have to go with VG on this one John....

Sachem? Heck, just down the road from me. Originally hailed from Brentwood. Man-o-man we used to have a rock-em-sock-em in football. :)

What about the die crack, does that add anything?

We had a good wrestling team when I was there...two state champs and a third my junior year...our football team was always suppose to be good...but then they would always take an early exit when it counted

That pic of the reverse is too grainy to see anything. Try posting it the same way you posted the obverse...

BTW - I paid 65 bucks for the junk ughhh...a better one on ebay just sold for like $16. But its ebay so I am sure there was something wrong with it that I missed...I hate being a greehorn :(

Ouch man, I won't lie but that's a hefty price for a die crack. Play it safe until you're comfortable buying without a guide. I'm definitely not there yet :)

Man, some good stuff gets away really cheap on eBay. I guess so many people are suspect of the items they don't bother to bid
I missed a 1988 RDV-006 authenticated and graded EF45 ANACS that went for $26. Contacted seller and was told he had that one as a duplicate and listed it with no reserve, but no one bid. He did say he had a large number of page views. I saw it noted here and by the time I got there, missed out.

All I am saying is that by not watching eBay enough, we can miss some really good items at cheap prices. Some sellers are taking a beating. I even sold entire mint wrapped proof sets for less than the half would have brought, so I quit. But some people need to sell merchandise to keep going.

VG for sure-looks like a staple scratch on the rev. as well by the R in DOLLAR.
That is ridiculous & that seller should be slapped for charging you that much.
