1928 Peace dollar, mintage of 360,649. The top coin for the collection.

1923 is second highest mintage of the peace dollars with over 30 million, you might pick up a "red book" A Guide Book of United States Coins. It has alot of info on us coins with mintages and a close amount to the worth of coins.

would the 2005 book be a good guide since i do have that its a little outdated but could give me a rough estimate.

The Red Book can be overpriced though at times.

Are they over price for silver and half dollar coins those are the ones I am mostly interested in, also what book would you suggest. Just realized that I post this in the wrong section at least it was my first post :D

I would suggest the Coin Dealer Newsletter or the Greysheet its called. It has wholesale prices for some coins. In general there expensive with their pricing.

Another good current price guide would be to look at past auctions. Ebay or any other auction site is good.

You should have your coin authenticated before estimating its value.
