My uncle left me a shield. Its a 1868. I know I know, Its been beat to heck and back, but can someone grade and value it. In the cond. its in I would think its worth about 4-5 bucks.....

I love the design, and when the mint came out w/ the shield pennies I jaummped on them......

    Thanks

Put it in a cardboard 2x2. As for the value, it is worth about $5-8.

The main active agent of decay on coins is verdagris and your coin doesn't have any of the notorious green slime on it. Keep it how it is, it's probably 5-10 bucks if you could find a buyer, but it's heavily worn. Just keep it as a remembrance of your uncle :smile
