will the october 7 u.s. mint new products prices be that much?. can it be? 2010w AGE one ounce proof - $1,585.00 2010w AGE 1/2 ounce proof - $806.00 2010w AGE 1/4 ounce proof - $415.50 2010w AGE 1/10 ounce proof - $180.50 2010w AGE four pieces set - $2,938.00 2010w first spouse 1/2 oz proof - $829.00 2010w first spouse 1/2 oz unc - $816.00
Yes, 'it can be' IF the PoG hits the levels according to the US Mint Bullion coin pricing grid AND the US Mint actually follows their own pricing policy.
one week to go before october 7. it looks like it will be price at this below: 2010w AGE one ounce proof - $1,585.00 2010w AGE 1/2 ounce proof - $806.00 2010w AGE 1/4 ounce proof - $415.50 2010w AGE 1/10 ounce proof - $180.50 2010w AGE four pieces set - $2,938.00 2010w first spouse 1/2 oz proof - $829.00 2010w first spouse 1/2 oz unc - $816.00 2010w AGB gold one ounce proof - $1,610.00
Funny how you only ever suggest that the PoG will rise. It very well may not, and the Mint could also choose not to rise prices despite the PM pricing grid to help move a lot of new inventory. If there is no change, for whatever reason, all of your numbers are over priced.
Does the mint play the prices on both ends? If they make these coins and the price drops does the mint lower the price even if its below what they paid for the gold at the higher price? or do they just change the price when it go's up??
They move the price up and down accordingly but can remove items for sale temporarily too if it were to drop too low to protect themselves from losses-- as would any dealer. as for the 2010w ASE one ounce silver proof. it might cost us $45.95 each. when the 2008w ASE silver proof were released. average silver price is around $14.75 per ounce. now it is over $21.50 per ounce. 2008w ASE price is $31.95 each.
This thread is about the 2010 - AGE Proof gold coins, not the ASE. There remains NO certainty that any ASE Proof coins will be re-released this year nor in the future. You have speculated on the potential price they might be at a previous point in the year. It remains speculative folly.
expected new prices: 2010w AGE one ounce proof - $1,585.00 2010w AGE half ounce proof - $806.00 2010w AGE 1/4 ounce proof - $415.50 2010w AGE 1/10 ounce proof-$180.50 2010w ASE one ounce proof - $45.95
Mint News Blog agrees with those prices and also gives us an estimate for the 4-coin AGE set. Numismatic Gold Coin Prices to Increase from MintNewsBlog [10/05/2010]
now it's over $1,350.00/oz. if the average stay that way. then the prices of u.s. mint products will be adjusted as ff: 2010w AGE one ounce gold proof - $1,635.00 2010w AGE half ounce gold proof - $831.00 2010w AGE 1/4 ounce gold proof - $428.00 2010w AGE 1/10 ounce gold proof - $185.50 2010w 4 pc set gold proof - $3,030.50 2010w FS 1/2 oz gold proof - $854.00 2010w FS 1/2 oz gold unc - $841.00 2010w AGB one ounce gold proof - $1,660.00
u.s. mint timing to release the AGE proof series at a high price. but then at least we have to buy some for collection before another price increase by next week. if gold stay at this level.
tomorrow should release the initial sales figures of AGE gold proof series from the mint. dying to know about it.
I bet you are! ...but the actual figures will not be final for a few years to come. Don't read too much into them.
figures or mintage from any sources are only serve as guide. and a lot of people will use them. no matter it is old, late, revise, inaccurate, or in complete. because at that certain time. there is no other way. this report tomorrow will serve as my guidance to enter which coin that i presume to be low and buy it. right or wrong. it doesn't matter. beside it is a dangerous game. just like the stock market. and a lot of people like it too.
yes, dangerous playing the mintage game chasing these statistics... that's why you should collect collectible coins for enjoyment, not investment.
