I was wondering if anyone knows of anyway to get hold of a database with all the data in the World coins Krause catalog. I am trying to make a software that takes in the picture of the coin and spit out details about the coin. I would need the catalog in the database format to be able to do that. I tried searching for it online but I couldn't find any usable information about it. Please let me know if you know anything about it.
I just purchased the 12th edition of the Krause world coins price guide.($40) It's over 1000 pages and covers 1901 - present ,but here's the cool part it comes with a Cd ROM that is basically the entire book on disc (for windows). Although i collect only US coins and currency over the yrs i have amassed a fishbowl's worth of world coins from travel,friends and family,and coinstar return bins. I plan a long term project of identifying each coin with the Krause book/CD ROM.
