As the title suggests, I was hoping some of you could shed some light on where to get bulk lots of random world coins? I see the lots of world coins on Ebay, but I'm having a hard time determining what a good price is. Are there any other good websites you can suggest that sell them in bulk? And what would be a good price? Thank you.

Your local dealer may have them. $7 a pound is reasonable. I have seen it has high as $9.99 a pound which is a little expensive plus shipping.
Shop around and see what you can get. Don't pay more than $9.99 a pound though because beyond that is ridiculous.

Are there certain countries, time periods, or themes that you're looking for? I personally find the idea of just buying foreign coins by weight not knowing what's in that lot a bit like hoarding pocket change, it's disorganized and lifeless. If you want to narrow down and focus on something, your collection would be much more impressive and fun than being proud of your X pounds of world coinage. Just my two cents.

I've bought them on eBay but I've had mixed results. You tend to get a lot of coins from certain countries. If you go that route, be careful who you buy from and read their feedback and ad closely. You should try different dealers too until you find one you really like because it seems like certain people have a lot of certain coins so you need to shop around for the variety. You'll probably get what you pay for. If they're really cheap, you won't get nice coins.

Thank you all for the suggestions:) I recently got about a pound of random coins with varying dates from the late 1800's through late 1950's, and I've really been enjoying going through them and identifying them. And since I'm so new to world coins, almost every one of them is new to me. And it's exciting when a silver one pops up. So far the ones that have been most attractive to me, besides U.S. coins, are from Germany. The ones that I seem to have a little less interest in are from Asia. I think eventually I'll narrow down to a few countries, but right now I like the variety.

I have been trying to find a good source for old foreign coins and I have had mixed luck with it too. Most of the places have old and new coins mixed and so I end up accumulating loads of new coins that I am not interested in. I am always looking out for old foreign coin sources.

I like the older ones too, but have no problem with new ones either.
