I am not able to find some Switzerland 10 Rappen coins on the Krause manual and was wondering if any of you might be knowing anything more about these coins.

If you can't see the years, they are 10 rappen with the years 1882, 1883, 1885, 1894, 1897.

    Thanks

I googled them and they are all over the place. Prices range from about .50 to a couple of dollars in circulated condition.

    They are composed of copper-nickel.

Krause #27, this coin has been struck in Copper-Nickel since 1879 to date. Impressive for the same design to survive over 130 years.

Thanks People. My copy doesn't seem to be having a #27. Not sure if it was added only in the later releases.

If you cannot find it in the edition that you have, you can always try www.numismaster.com (same publishing house as the printed Krause) --> "Find My Coin". The basic search is free.

And yes, the 10 rp/ct coin has basically been the same since 1879. These are still legal tender, except for the 1918-19 and 1932-39 issues (different compositions) which have been demonetized.
