This morning I went metal detecting and got 6 coins out of 1 hole. That is my personal best and beat my previous hole of 4 coins (twice). All 6 were pennies and 3 other holes I got 2 coins. Anybody else ever find multiple coins in 1 hole?
Once I found 4 Wheat Cents in a single hole. The coins were stacked one on top of another like they were intentionally buried that way. Strange.
One time I pulled 7 or 8 cents, a nickel, a dime and two quarters all within a couple inches of each other. I think someone spilled their wallet
I avoided digging it for two or three trips because it just sounded too weird. It was a nice surprise. I have the dream where they're all silver.
The different sounds definately can throw me off. I got a very faint signal this morning and after going down 4 inches I hit a rock, and under it was a quarter. I was expecting a dime or something smaller...
A bit off topic, but I once hooked a pair of jeans while fishing that had about a dozen coins in the pocket. Everything was covered with a black coating from the river water I guess. I remember three quarters a couple of dimes, a nickle and a few cents. gary
Shoot, I've never found anything! The area of Texas that I live in is just all rock. Congrats on your 6 in 1! Would've been really nice if the coins were a bit older and golder, eh?!
