Some of the apparently rarer Morgans from my collection. Primarily interested in what grade you would give so that I can continue to learn, but value never hurts either. Anxiously awaiting comments thanks in advance. If anyone needs better shots let me know detail was better when images were in raw format before conversion to JPG.

You should consider buying a copy of ANA Grading Standards for United States Coins.

I'm not a professional grader. Grading is subjective. But here are my guestimates at grade and value for the coins you posted in the photos.

The first coin pictured is an 1886 O, I would grade it at F-15 to VF-20, RedBook(retail) value is $25. The 1896 O I would grade at VG10 to F12. It also probably retails for around $25.

The third coin, also dated 1886, looks to be in EF40 condition based on the obverse only. You did not post the reverse to this coin so I can't tell if it's an 86P, 86O or 86S.

If you want help grading morgans yourself, check out the link listed below, it's a good photograde guide:

    My guess on those is 20 then a 20 then a 40.

    Thank you all for the prompt assessments of the coins. I have to admit that I guessed the condition of the coins to be higher than what they really were. Thank you for the condition assessments. I now have a good reference point to work from. I also was surprised that even considering the condition that the coins weren't worth much more than the spot silver prices. I would guess just off the top of my head that all of the coins i have are roughly similar to the ones posted condition wise. Below is a list of year and mint, for my collection i had assumed he coins i originally posted would be the most valuable. Just curious if anyone thinks there's anything out-of the following I should dig out and pay particular attention to? 1921 1923-S 1922-S 1882-O 1880 1882-O 1882-S 1883-O 1884-O 1885-O 1883-O 1883-O 1880-S 1881-O 1879-S 1880-S 1881-S 1882-O 1881-O 1881-S 1885-O 1902-O 1904-O 1901-O 1902-O 1881-O 1899-O 1887 1888-O 1882-O 1883-O 1888-O 1898-O 1899-O 1885-O 1888-O 1899-O 1901-O 1900-O 1896 1887 1888 1885 1887 1896 1890 1888 1889 1880 1881 1878 1879 1884 1885 1883 1882 1900 1898 1901-O 1897 1898 1922 1925 1924 1923 1922 1926-S 1921-D 1878-S 1902 1890-S 1890-O 1887-O 1891 1897-S 1891-S 1903 1925-S 1926 1879-O 1935 1880-O 1928-S 1887-S 1891-O 1889-O 1927 1892-O 1892 1889-S 1934 1900-S 1886-S 1886-S 1899-S 1902-S 1928 1883-S 1886-O 1897-O 1896-O

Sorry for the formating of the list, I couldn't seem to get line breaks to stick in the post. Anyway they are all Morgans.
