Hi All, Newbie here to the forum. Ive always had an interest in what treasures could be hiding in the coin jar but never came across anything worth digging deeper. I have a 2008 Lincoln Penny that seems to have a slight filling in the upper half of the 8 in 2008. Being a novice I'd like to hear from the experts on this. I did my best on the photos attached but will be happy to post more if needed. Thank you in advance for your opinions, Matt
Hello there, Although these errors are pretty common and don't add much if any value to the coin, I save them anyway. I have 2x2 cardboard flips that were purchased on-line and I dedicate a box to all the error coins I can find. I think the greatest bang from this hobby comes from finding something "different" in circulation. Good eye, nice find. Pleased to meet a fellow searcher. gary
Thank you guys for the fantastic responses. After this find I would like to start a collection of sorts, common or not, as this is simply fascinating to me. I look forward to learning and interacting with you in the forum and thank you again for your insight! With Kind Regards, Matt
