Anything worthy of CoinTalk that you find in change (not rolls, change), post it here. Today I got a 1947 Wheat in change from Taco Bell. :smile LET'S KEEP THIS THREAD GOIN'!
Found a 1936 wheat in my change from Sonics. Found 2 Wheats from the '50s as well as a '38 Jefferson when cleaning out my step-dad's car. The Nickel was fairly nicked up though. Also, I know this doesn't really count but the person I work for had a bowl of change and just laying there on top of the pile was a 1941 quarter. I saw this and asked her if I could look through the change and keep any thing I find that interested me and she said yes.
Next One I still find Wheaties and a few 40's nickels. Next one I find will get posted, no matter how ugly.
I recieved this one in change from a Burger King in 2008. It was the one and only time I've ever gotten anything besides the occasional wheat cent. Sure made my day when it happened
probably its pretty much the same size and weight. I don't think they even look at what their pulling out of the drawer, just stick their hand into the right bin and pull. Could you imagine if one of us worked in a place like that Customer- "Can I please have my change now?" CT member-"Not yet I'm not through looking at it."
HAHAHA!! Im guilty of that... I work at a subway. I got a 1941 wheat and a 1917 Buffalo in my change. STOKED about the buffalo. My first out of circulation
I remember getting a 1952-S Wheat in a airport. 1938 Jeff nickel, 1939 Jeff nickel, and 1946 Jeff nickel. All found this year.
My boss actually told me to stop looking at change lol. Of course I didn't stop I'm just not as open about it hehe Found 1989 and 2002 proof nickels in the last week. I guess somebody busted some open. Got a 1964-D dime the other day. Customer tipped a bagger with a 1950 Series B $5 bill today. Traded him for it.
Found in change Found in change a couple of years ago. As for now it seems like a lot of die breaks (minor)gas bubbles, ect. Sent it to DGS to keep it "as found". I know it's not worth slabbing but why not.
Got a dateless Type 1 Buffalo Nickel in a roll from Wells Fargo Bank in early July this year. No minr mark.
Nice ones so far everybody! Found another 2010 cent in change the other day. It just adds to the 50 of them that I have found so far.
Yeah I just went out and bought a roll for each mint in BU condition. If I can find them in BU, I wouldn't even bother with cherry picking.
ah ha so change finds no rolls? hmm i guess something kool i found was two golden looking quarters from taco bell not sure if they are the plated ones or not
Got these today in change. Dunkin donuts....got two, and then asked for change for $5 when I heard the ringing
