What ya all think about this standing liberty quarter! Any idea? I know the pics are lousy but the coin is in poor condition which makes it even more difficult to photograph. Anyone?
Well the lack of stars on the back and also the design of the lower left robes narrows it down to a 1916, or a 1917 type 1. The details of the shield rivets and also the visible lines on the bulk heads leads me to that conclusion...another thing that is usually seen on a 1916 is a "line" in the robe near liberty's right arm which continues to "God" In God We Trust...there are other distinguishing features you can read about if you use the forum search feature.
You may be right I don't know but I found this link! http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/ShowArticle.aspx?ID=16&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 I don't know, the gown separates from her ankle fairly well but in the link the 1917 has a round bottom and the 1916 has a flatter shape! ??
