Not sure who you're asking. I only keep those that I need for the book. Now that the set is done, I'll just upgrade or start another set for my daughter.

I have been finding tons of the NIFC halves and some of them appear to be in perfect shape. I was saving them but after seeing stack upon stack of them just sitting there eventually, I tossed a bunch back into my return bag.

My first (and probably last) dream box. Wowzers!!!

I've taken about a month break from half-searching. After 12 consecutive skunks and having to pay $2.50 per box fee, I was a little frustrated. Well, last week I opened an account at a new bank and asked them to order me 2 boxes of halves weekly. I got the first 2 boxes to the truck and peeked in the first one and saw around 4 walking liberty and 5 or so ben Enders. I was psyched!

    Box 1: 81-bens, 66-walkers, 2-90% JFK, & 23-40% = 172 keepers
    Box 2: 1-90% JFK & 12-40%

    Totals: 150-90% & 35-40%

    Silver value = $1313.40

Best box ever for me. I'm on my phone now, I'll post pics when I can get to my computer.

That is nuts. I'll probably do some change runs today for a few stores, not sure if I'll find anything.

Maybe I should order some boxes of halves.

WOW! Congrats. You have 4x more Bens and 6.5x more walkers than I have found in searching over 200 boxes, lol. That is awesome......please show pics.

Courious, what kind of box/wrappers? String and Sons or Brinks or something else?

I has been a long time since I've had a big find. I've stopped at a few banks this week and found about $325 in CWR and loose halves. Nothing. Today at lunch, I decided to stop at a couple of banks in an area I hadn't hit for a few months.
    Bank 1: 2 rolls with 3 1964 90%ers
    Bank 2: 8 loose, skunk
    Bank 3: 5 CWR and 13 in loose: 48 40%ers.

51 total, and at today's spot price, more than $180 in silver. :D That was a good lunch!!

Here's a bitter sweet find that came out of a roll of dimes that I cracked open at work:

Wow everyone has been doing good. I'm curious what carrier is bringing those boxes also...brinks/loomis/dunbar etc. I swear the Dunbar boxes are the worst...but maybe thats because it's all i can get

I had a good drive home from work today. I stopped at 5 banks, and 4 of them had half dollars.

    Bank 1 - 13.50 loose = 1 40%
    Bank 2 - 4.00 loose = skunk
    Bank 3 - 1.00 loose = skunk
    Bank 4 - 2 rolls and 5.00 loose = 16 Walkers, 15 Franklins, 1 '64 and 9 40%
    Bank 5 - No coins

I was so pumped to see the coins from bank 4. This is a bank that has never produced a single silver coin of any kind before and today it was a great haul. If I would have checked the coins closer to when I purchased them, I would have turned around to check with the other tellers. The lady that gave them to me at the drive up window didn't check with the others like they normally do.

Found my 8th 1998 WAM on Wednesday. I only have seven of them because I donated one to the Boy Scout who were being instructed about coins by a CTer. I hope they enjoyed it. It was my pleasure.

    Great box..

    2 questions.

    1. Is that a Dunbar box (rectangular, 1 layer of rolls, 50 holes on one side)
    2. If it is a dunbar box, was it stamped with anything? A few months back they started showing up with stamps on them, either saying what day they were checked and by whom or they just had a # on them. I'm curious if anyone else is seeing this also.

    Thanks for any info.

wow thats an awesome box find. I just recently started roll searching, no silver luck yet, but im still looking. I called several banks today and found one that had some halves on hand. The lady said they probably had 200 or 300 rolls just sitting in the vault. Im not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing. Maybe they have been sitting in there for a long time. Or on the other hand, maybe its another roll-searchers dump bank. I guess i will find out tomorrow. happy hunting everyone.
