So far, there are about 15 to 20 known examples of the "1992-D Close AM" Lincoln cent variety. http://www.pcgs.com/articles/article_view.chtml?artid=6387&universeid=313&type=1 U.S. Coin Composition Changes too come ! http://news.coinupdate.com/obamas-budget-includes-coin-composition-changes-0138/
After finding the 1988 D RDV-006, I have also been looking for both the 1992 D CAM and the 97-00 WAM as well as any error or doubling I can see. Pulling the copper etc. Haven't found the 92 yet. But am fairly confident that I will. With the new magnifier set up I have now, I can scan through a box fairly quickly and not miss too much. I think ? I find it strange that PCGS recognized the 92/93 mule but not the 88/89. Mine was graded by ANACS for that reason. gary
First you need to really apply yourself to the hobby of coin collecting, before you can find any hidden errors.
You talking about all the WAM's or just the '99 and the '92 CAM? I've had success with the '98's and '00 searching rolls from the Toccoa area. Haven't found a single one in rolls from the Atlanta area.
I've only found one 98 WAM, but no 99 or 00 WAM and no 92 CLAM. Has anyone sold one of the 92 CLAMs yet? If so, what was the price?
There are plenty out there. When there are only a thousand or so people searching thru billions of cents it might take a while for the population to grow...
You have got to be kidding me PCGS. There's about a 1 in a billion chance the cent has "PVC damage". The guy found it in circulation, not sitting in some old 2x2 from the 50's. The coin has VERDIGRIS....the ignorance of some people just kills me.
I am a new collector but am constantly reading and researching on the web all the time so to educate myself. Anywhooo, I have found (since starting to collect this pas June) many interesting coins. My recent finds were 2 98 wide AM within weaks from one another. Have not found that 99, 92 and 96 tho. What I have found on the 99 are double dies on the letters. I so far I have found 2 very good ones. I'm enjoying this hobby and really like this forum. To those who are full of wisdom and knowhow thanks for your imput. I do appreciate it. And for those just starting like me...press on. So fun!
Oh another I found this past Thursday in a roll of pennies was a 1891 Indian head penny. Even tho it's worn you still see the design clearly but not the detail within the design and it's got a scratch from the eyes to where the ear would be....I'm still super excited I found it. Yay!
