About the mint mark... I can't tell from the photo. Okay, maybe it's my eyes. There were four different O's used on Morgans. Some years used more than one. I - small O; 1880, 1896, 1899, 1900, 1902 (some of these are counterfeits). II - tall oval medium with narrow slit; 1879-84, 1888, 1889. III - circular medium O with wide opening; 1884 - 1904. IV - large oval with narrow slit.
I'm at my parents house, so I can't post the pics as promised, but the O is round and clear, just like it should be. The coin looks JUST like the pictures, and I'm taking it to a reputable dealer tommorrow to get his opinion.
In My Humble opinion. There is no way this is an MS-62 MS-60 to MS-61 at most. Too many marks on the rim and the toning, is too much of a distraction. The dings on the chin and nose also detract from an MS-62.
