It's simply an MEL (missing edge lettering). These were the toast of the town when first discovered....ALOT of money was made on these early on, then it appeared to not be an anomally. MS65's are maybe $100 if graded by one of the 2 biggest TPG's. Definitely a keeper, if gotten for face value. Other Prez dollars have seen the same, though not in nearly the same numbers. There are over 20,000 MEL Washington dollars graded at PCGS alone, and one must take into account those graded by NGC, ANACS, and ICG.......there are a bundle of them out there, for sure.

I bought one on eBay last week for $29! Lowest price I've seen. I've also paid $125 for an MS66. Fun coins. GODDLESS DOLLARS! What is the world comming to? I may carry the $29 coin just for fun and to win bar bets. I've been in a bar in the last 48 years about 3 times, so I should get rich in no time!
