My exhibit at the ANA

Terrific display! One of these years I'm going to have to cross the border to hit one of these shows! I'm so envious!

I went through all the displays and really enjoyed yours. I strained to see the doubling on the actual coin but enjoyed your magnifications and could see the doubling there. Congratulations on the second place.:thumb:

Congratulations, ziggy9! I exhibit occasionally, twice at ANA and Central States and more often at Michigan State. I never got a second place, so I know how hard you worked to get it right. Nice job!

I earned an ANA Judge certification in Literature. I assure you that at this level, the ANA judging committee tends overwhelmingly to be objective. It is true that the differences among 1st to 3rd might be 5 points out of 100: a couple from 1st to 2nd; a couple from 2nd to 3rd. At this level, the exhibitors are generally museum quality displays, so the outcome is tight, but the judging has been worked out over 50 years to be as objective as possible.

 

Great display and Congrats on 2nd place!! Second place or no that is a great find, one day i can only hope to find a first error.
