Here is a NGC graded and certified 1886 Morgan Dollar. What would you grade this coin?

    Thanks

MS-64 there are contact marks behind liberty's head along with a detracting mark by the second 8 in the date 1886. The reverse is nice though probably MS-65

MS 64. Could be a 65, but the pics are too out of focus to tell for sure...Mike

I am going with a MS63 to MS64 (but more toward 63). I think the strike is weak and their are many marks throughout the fields.

MS-63 with a possible VAM Reverse designation. I wouldnt know the VAM number
since I dont study them, but there is definitely something going on with the right leg .

Metaman, I noticed that too. That odd mark also appears where a mintmark would go if the coin had one. I believe it is just a problem with the NGC case. I don't know VAM's either but if it is something you have found something strange and remarkable to me.

Naw, the mark on the rt. leg is a scratch on the holder :(

Sorry Hoss, I got a itchy trigger finger, LOL ;) Next one will stay a mystery for a while longer.
