Whew, that's pretty good news. Follow that tracking # like a hawk although they don't really say much. When in it is in your " grubby paws " , lol , then Congrats big time and store it in the safest place you can afford, if you know what I'm sayin'.

Most of these threads turn out like this -- in the five + years on this and other forums I've read hundreds of these type threads, and I can recall one instance where a coin was lost (and the owner made whole finantially).

That's easy to say if it's not you coin, and I'm glad to hear it seems to be working out. :)

Gary, I know it's tough, but be patient.

ANACS is rather slow on updating their Pop Report.

    1988 D slab.JPG Hey Guys !!

I got it !!!! Man, they had me scared when the lady told me she couldn't find it. She never called me back like she promised. But I checked the order on the site and saw they had added a tracking number. Checked with Fed Ex and they shipped it that same night I called. Whew ! Man, I know I'll never find another, and believe me, I am going through a lot of boxes of cents. This built a fire under me for sure.

Anyway, here it is. Sorry that I still can't see well enough to take a decent pic.

I just took a couple of pics and had my son drive me over. No way is it staying in the house !

Krispy, the problem is I can't see the focus in the LCD. I am getting some new glasses soon. Maybe those will help ? I stashed this away for now, but am still practicing on other stuff. But the first scans show it pretty good. I just wanted everyone to see the label. It's got the silver bar on the back that says "authenticated".

The weather is cooling down, so I expect I can do more photo work outside. I hope so anyway.
    Thanks,
    gary

Great you got lucky!. Oh and in the future have them ship it via the USPS (registered if it is very valuable or a non-replaceable item. It is slower but safer.) Another reason NOT to have it shipped by FedEx is that they do not insure coins, including collectible coins. If they had lost it the most you would have gotten back from them was the insurance fee.

Thanks. You know the guys over at another forum told me it wasn't worth but about $400, I mean that's a lot, but there are a lot of coins worth more than that. I insured it when I sent it, and assumed it would be insured for the return. Learning a lot from this, for sure.

    Thank you,
    gary

Double congratulations! Now what can we expect for an encore? lol Don't go into PCD(post collector depression) now that it's all over. It'll probably feel realy good to just get back to normal searching.
