I went to the bank today and honestly i had one of those moments that you just want to kill yourself because you weren't there...the bankers told me like 2 weeks ago a lady came with a bag of $100 of silver coins. They told me they gave it all out to people requesting for coins and i just ****ed myself because i usually go to that bank but never really had a conversation with the bankers till now. I feel so ****ed right now but i gave out my number to them so hopefully they call me when another good offer comes up :) and ordered 2 boxes of halves.

Has anyone ever tried to buy the coins out of the coinstar machines? My bank said that when the quarter bags are full they would let me buy the bag(about $1,000.00 in a full bag).

I think I've asked every bank with a machine within 100 miles and they've all said no

My bank does the same.. I have had OK luck with Halves.. Better with Lincolns.. Lots-o-Wheat.. I cost nothing to search but time.. Getting them back into the bank can be a pain... I have 3 accounts at 3 Banks.. I rotate... It works.

    several BU 80's
and a 1992-S proof I needed for my book

If I went to that bank I would of ended up buying those halves if they still had them.

Kind of irked today, I went to my bank to place an order for halves, and the teller said she had a half, then went and asked the other tellers if they had any. One girl had 2 of them, and another teller beside her reached in and took one, saying I want this one. Of course, it was a silver one.

Bob, which bank was this? I am just curious because I have found that a few of the Well's Fargos do not hold half dollars. As soon as they get a roll or more, they send them back to the fed.
