    i dont know much about coins but i just found this
    its an Iowa quarter i know that . but the edges are weird
    1846 Foundation in America 2006

    Exactly. It's either been spooned or caught in a dryer for a few loads.

    In this case there is no need. That coin is definitely damaged after it left the mint. These get posted here all the time.

    okay just looked up what spooned was lol and yeah it has copper sides!

    Having just searched a bag of coins that I was fortunate enough to get that came from the rejects bin of of a bank sorting/rolling machine, I was amazed at how common these are.

    Unfortunately not, but there's plenty of stuff out there that is, so just keep searching and you'll find something.

    Based on what I can see in the photos I vote for "stuck in clothes dryer".

    HAHAHA! It was one of those things that i wanted to try. And i was jobless at the time so all i had was time. And yes... i did infact use a spoon. A big one lol.
