About
A collector of only 6 years so thirsting for knowledge on all things coins as I believe it to be the oldest hobby in history as, in a way, we're all collectors - most people have coins in their pocket,
Especially interested in Morgans & VAMS, British Sterling and large silver world coins from 18th, 19th Century, Thalers, Austrian/Hungarian/Germanic/Prussian & Bullion coins too.
Illustrator by trade. Painting Heraldic Sheilds and coats of arms led me into collecting and the world history I've acquired has been a fascinating by-product too.
As a newby I'm always keen to learn from others. The first Morgan I bought was a 1883o and when I was going over it with a well lit loupe I noticed what looked like the outline of the wreath leaves in the feild behind libertys head and thought, "damn what a pity as it was an almost flawless coin", some years later I became more interested in Morgans and discovered vams so I had quite a laugh when I realised the 1883o was a clash vam and hence my addiction grew.
