Just a note about where I've been and why I'm here.
I mostly collect from circulation, so that means I specialize in Moderns and, more specifically, CURRENT designs, dates and mintmarks. The search started in 1969 and has been on and off since then. Even in the "off" years I tried to keep current looking at change. The "on" years meant I was searching rolls occasionally and stashing some extras. It has been very "on" for about 15 years that has included a spread sheet inventory.
Joining a local coin club about five years ago has been helpful in generating more enthusiasm, fun, learning and satisfaction. The club membership is really the reason I'm here on a coin community web site. When I collected on my own I followed my curiosity and learned answers to my questions very slowly. Since joining a club there is a larger accumulation of curiosity and learning opportunities that I want to widen my awareness here by observing and sharing.
