Thanks for liking my answers to you. I have been collecting coins for as long as I can remember. There have been significant gaps in the intensity of collecting, but let me see a coin somewhere and I am on it like stink on a skunk. There are many different ways to collect and ALL of them are correct. It is what you like, from ancient lumps of metal to bullion rounds from private mints, not to mention all the exonumia. Start off slow, go to some shows or shops or flea markets or... The idea is that coins are where you find them. Don't discount e-bay, cause you can get some good stuff there. As I said, just take it slow, stay on cointalk, read and ask questions. As for the slabbed stuff, it is nice, but it is usually expensive. Have fun.
