I got a bunch of coins from my grandmother in 1987. Never really looked at them until recently. But I've found I really like the process. It's probably for the same reason I like scrapping metal, and dumpster diving. In our disposable society many valuable things are simply discarded. I still have a lot to learn about coins. Unfortunately I don't have much time to spend doing it (finishing PhD), and am so broke and busy that I often put $50 worth of pocket change in the machine at the bank without ever even looking at it (sorry I know that hurts - but maybe you'll find one I discarded). Still searching for a cheap but useful dissecting microscope so I don't have to close one eye to look at coins. Suggestions?Interact
