I really like the coins, however a few of them deserve a PCGS case.

What coins would you like to see graded by PCGS? My wild guess is the 1916-D and the 2 gold coins here. The 1916-D along with the complete mercury dime set was sold to Littleton coin @ greysheet ask price. The 2 gold coins are on consignment with me right now.

I was thinking of the 1908 liberty. I keep cringing to look at such a marvelous coin, in such an awful holder.
The other one i am fine with, it is protected nicely.

Yeah I agree with you on that one. I do however keep it in a safe place so it does not get damaged. Probably would not decide to send to PCGS unless I had a serious buyer for it.

Its the case its in that will slowly destroy the coin. you could put it in a safe for ten years or on a table in the living room for ten years, it will still start to destroy the coin because of the casing material. (the reason i say this is because i heard that the PVC casing is bad for the coins.)

The paper flip is PVC Free. PVC is a type of plastic that can seriously destroy coins over time.

Ok, i bought a few coins, and they had the PVC stuff. Ok.
I think it would still be best to get em' certified though. Just to prevent most possible future damage.
