Check out this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/US-1874-CC-Genu...40?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item43a1ae1cc8 I guess it really is the buyers fault if they don't realize this guy isn't in the US
Like usual, the counterfeit coin is accompanied by a grammatical disaster for a description. A poorly written description is a major red flag in my book and in my opinion there is a direct correlation between description quality (not necessarily length) and coin quality.
The buyer's fault for not deciphering the fact that the seller is from China. Of course, there is no way to prove that the seller is at fault unless he slips up in the description saying that he's from China. Haven't reported it. You can do the honors
The more the merrier for reporting. And there is a way to prove (or nearly so) that it is in China. First, his other auctions say he is in Hong Kong. Second, his email is ....CN. Third, he is using EMS post.
Don't forget the international shipping reference. Probably selling the best coins that can counter-fit. LOL http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/fake_chinese_coin_dies.jpg
Just a random addition, but I found his replies to negative feedback amusing..especially when he calls one guy the destructor (?)

Because he does not even qualify as a peanut in the Chinese counterfeits. See http://shop.ebay.com/robert2313513/...c=1&_sop=10&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=3 BTW, you might try reporting him as using stock photos. For some reason eBay does not want to pester him. Here are a few numbers. I have lots more if needed. 270605293256 270605293314 270605293359 250663762193 260633015011 250663762334 250663762453 270605293825 250663762679 250663763454 270605294581 260633016647 260633016690 250663763884 260633016814 260633016919 270605295171 260633017350 270605295246 250663764316 260633017469 270605295401 260633017556 270605295475 270605295520 260633017680 260633017709 250663764597 250663764622 260633017763 270605295732 260633018004 260633018177
The difference between cheng and robert is ol' bobby is selling marked copies. Cheng is actually selling counterfeits huge difference to me. I have no problem with copies or replicas, properly marked. Its the ones selling counterfeits that I'd love to pee on their graves.
Try ordering one and see just what you receive. Better yet, just look at his feedback and see what they are complaining about receiving.
Well, from the feedback, I do stand corrected. I have seen a ton of coins that have photoshopped "copy" stamps, and his you can see the metal distortion. They are probably stock photos though. You know I have never bought one, but for a couple of bucks I might just to see one in hand.
One more Chinese faker on eBay down, thousands more to go. I feel like I carry part of their shame being Chinese myself :foot-mouth:
Yeah, can't see the item anymore. But take a look at this http://cgi.ebay.com/Germany-1828-Ba...083?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230a1afc73 Probably same thing but this time with feedback 0, now who wouldn't buy that!
