Sigh...done studying and finished up my household chores. I'll reward myself by posting my last two Morgans. And my favorite. Been posted before, but why not again?
You get to do those also huh? Nice to have the company. Love the 1921. You don't usually see those with good color.
There quite a few folk that think from New Orleans mint used the same 40-45 rev die on all that were minted.1883-1885-O 40-45 die used too.the large 973000 mintage of the 84-O there maybe a new Vam out there not yet found.with as you know there can be something that not listed yet but I don't think this is one I not sure yet but I have 2 that were in 1 solid date roll I picked up some time ago they maybe ones I had since 1962 still in maybe rolls still in my roll.but at last HVS Coin club meeting I had both will me a about 1/2 folk all 27 that were think it maybe a DDR O/O.if it get graded I will most likely add to an Anacs order to make it 16 coin and get yet one more free box.but I may just sell one raw and put the other one back in my book.I really had not thought that far ahead.
1), they're all fun to look at; keep 'em coming. 2) you'll be posting higher grades and beautifully toned Morgans someday for others to enjoy!
Can someone show me the difference between a Proof Morgan and a DMPL. I'm just not good with that. Thanks.
There are a few tipoffs the first just being the overall look. They just look different. Strike is amazing, letters are tack sharp. The denitcles are squared. The mirror tend to flow better and be more consistent.
Bluevette, that tidy bowl Morgan with the cardboard legend is one of the coolest things I've seen. Just think, before people collected them en masse, Morgans were so plentiful that companies were giving them away. "$2.50 Guide-Book Value" lmao!
Those aren't all yours right? I like the second to the bottom in this set. How many BC's were there...sheez
Oh yes they are! They are part of my NGC Registry Signature Set: Rainbow Wars Part 1 (A Battle of the Pedigrees)
