Well I opened another envelope that has been sealed since it was shipped to me from the end of June 1998. In it was this pile of silver 90% face, $14.00 face, US coins. One one Roosevelt Dime. Three Early Barber Quarters, four Walkers and the rest was Mercury Dimes. There was one 1853 with arrows Liberty Seated Dime but it had a hole. Too bad on that coin but when I looked at the Mercury Dimes, 1 was dated after 1927 and 2 were before. A number in the teens but no 1916-D. Then I looked at the receipt that was enclosed and that was my second surprise. The silver coins were bought at $3.95 per face of $1.00. I’d sure like to do that today. Then out popped 6 1 ounce silver rounds and bars, 6 total, at $5.60 each. I’m still smiling and wanting to open 2 more small packages from the same dealer. Maybe later.
I would not have the patience to go that long without opening it. I’m too much of the kid on Christmas morning type. Look at all those beautiful mercury dimes.
But every day is like Christmas morning, at least as look as I’m finally getting around to looking at them. Lol
