I would take #2. It is probably the pictures, but #1 does nit look like it has any luster left.

I like coin #2. The reverse toning is much more impressive and I actually really like the variegated toning on the obverse. I think it gives the coin character. Besides, there are toning breaks on the obverse of coin #1 as well.

The reverse of coin #2 is amazing, but if I was spending my money I would go with coin #1.

I guess #1 but it's only ok to me.
I do like #2's reverse but the obv is too much for me.

    #1 is better
#2 observe is nasty. It makes me wanna puke !!

I'd take number 1! The second one is nice but in comparison I gotta go with #1!

I'd take #1. It has just the right amount of toning. The obverse of #2 has a little too much for me.

I prefer the one with the "pot of gold" beneath it!
    (and the 1869s... as well)

But #2 reverse does it for me..nice color!

I like #1 better. The splotchy look on Roosevelt's face on #2 makes it look like he has another disease, and it draws your attention away from anything else.

So, on which one are you going to bid?

I prefer the golden tones of #2 not sure if it is the lighting on #1 but the coin itself loos sort of matt no shine to it at all

You couldn't give me the second coin for free.

Put them both in an NGC multi-coin holder with the obverse of #1 and the reverse of #2 facing forward.

    I like #1.

1 - I'm not so sure that the second coin has natural toning, looks like it had help to me.

2 - even if it is natural I think it is ugly as sin and would not own such a coin. But that's personal taste.
