I have a full P and D state quarters in 24k gold that my grandfather found and gave me. Probably bought from TV.

I possess 1 colored coin. An Australian 25 c Silver bullion. Obverse is reverse proof and reverse is themed for Halloween. I won it here on CT. It is so different I actually like it.

@expat your example is released like that by the Perth Mint (they apply the colorization process) as opposed to the two Silver Eagles being done privately by resellers.

I possess no colorized coins, mostly because I honestly just don't like them. It seems very hard for them not to cross the line directly into "tacky." Canada had a few subtlety colorized coins in circulation (including one with a glow in the dark patch) and those were fun and actually looked pretty good as well, but when coloring goes too far, such as some of the examples posted here, I pretty much recoil and try to suppress a gag reflex.

As far as intentionally ruined coins go, this one definitely qualifies, though I don't think it's quite what this thread had in mind.

Proof Trade Dollar. Likely the only one that'll ever pass through my hands.

Stewart Blay once told me there is a reason he does not sculpt in colors.

If not for the hole, this one wouldn't have cost only eight bucks.

Shouldn't be too hard to tell what it is...
