Didn't know! I certainly have admired Todd's images (e.g., of Charmy's cents) and believe I even checked out his website a year or so ago. So, Todd, congrats on great work.

I hope no one is taking my comment the wrong way. I just found it timely and ironic that L-train's earlier comment ("You make that coin look like an absolute beauty, more like a 64 or 65 than a 62") came up while there is an ongoing discussion on another thread about whether a coin was misrepresented in its photos. It exposes the huge gray area that buying and selling coins based on images is.

It doesn't hurt to ask? Could you post the specs on your set up? Lens, lighting, software and tent specs please?

 

I use a Nikon D200 at least until it dies, a Tamron 180 Macro lens. Software is camera control Pro 2. No tents or domes, ever. I realty do not like the look they give and find the softness they provide hides flaws in the coins. I use CFL bulbs for my lighting.

I get very confused with 79-S's. Somehow I have ended up with 14 of them. Several DMPL, several pl, some one sided DMPL, couple toners, couple real nice ms coins, Couple rev of 78 including a PL. It is my weak spot. I need to sell a couple but like them all......

Here one om raw 1884-O Vam# not to sure what is .has all the marker 1884-P Vam# and also has the marker for O/O.but going have graded soon and see what Vam# the come up with.

 

I only have three, so my contribution to this thread will be minimal. I'm sure it's not much in relation to grades posted above, but why not share?

Thanks for the encouragement, jello. Just intimidating see those higher grades and beautifully toned Morgans posted above and mine are vf at best (with exception of the one posted by me above). And yes, roll tide, roll!

Which TPG do you plan to use? It doesn't look like one of the Top 100 or Hot 50, so NGC won't attribute it. I'm not sure if PCGS will either. The only one for sure is ANACS.
