I'm not very knowledgable in errors or anything out of the ordinary so please help me with this coin. The rim is still round so I don't think that it's been dropped. Any input on value, premium, etc. Would be appreciated.

It didn't leave the Mint that way. Somebody clipped it or ground the edge down. It is now a damaged coin and worth melt value, maybe a tad more than melt.

    It'll make a nice pendant I guess.

You know it's worthless when you hold it by the face :D

Apparently it's worthless anyway. I thought that was only AU and MS coins. If thousands of other people touched it over the last 100 yrs why would MY touch damage it???

    Or the obverse. And worthless?
Say that with a 1914 Barber $1/2 in that condition.

Well, you may cause additional wear, or damage.
The oils in your skin can erode the coin.

But, more likely, just learn to handle the coins properly.
