I passed up a really nice Constantine II for these, but I found these more interesting. (all cheap but with school, not alot of spare money atm, but had to get a fix ;) )

Demetrius Poliorketes AE17. Monogram of Demetrius in center of a Macedonian shield / BA - SI to either side of a crested Macedonian helmet with cheek flaps.

Cassander, king of Macedonia, AE20. 319-297 BC. Head of young Heracles right in lionskin / BASILEWS KASSANDROU above and below Horseman riding right; monogram below.

Oh, very cool. I like the Macedonian shield, and the crested helmet looks great. The portrait of Herakles on the second coin is also quite well struck. Nice additions Randy, I know how it is to need an ancient coin fix.

I like the 2nd one & understand what it's like to need a coin fix. Here are the first five steps copied directly from AA's 12 steps. I just changed a couple words like "alcohol" to "coins". We may need another forum for "Numismatics anonomous".

THE TWELVE STEPS OF (deleted) NUMISMATICS ANONYMOUS

    1. We admitted we were powerless over coins (deleted)—that our lives had become unmanageable.

    2. Came to believe that CoinTalk (deleted) could restore us to sanity.

    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of GDJMSP (deleted) as we understood Him.

    4. Made a searching and (deleted) inventory of our collections (deleted).

    5. Admitted to GDJMSP (deleted), to ourselves, and to all at CoinTalk (deleted) the exact nature of our collecting habits (deleted).

    6. etc etc
