one day you will find the raw coin with original clean c.o.a. and brand new box better than any slabbed coins. all ms 70 and proof 70 should fall like a rock down from the sky. so far the ms-69 or proof-69 are "no body like them".

I just got to reply to this with my opinion, and I'm sure I don't need to put a disclaimer on what that opinion is worth. But, after saying that I don't think the sky is going to fall on these.

First, the 70s have been around for a few years now, and to me they seem to holding their own fairly well. Have they gone down in price disproportionally to other coins in the current market? Personally I don't think so, but I could be wrong. After all they're buying the best coin they can afford just like they are told to.

I don't the market would ever allow them to take a drop anywhere close to 75%, they would gobbled up too quickly way before they ever reached that much of a drop.

A lot of people really like modern issues in the 70 grades. They can buy them what is suppossed to be the best at what is very affordable to many people. I say more power to them as long as they are buying them to collect. Everything everyone said about buying them as an investment is true in my opinion. That is the downside, but then since I am a collector and not an investor maybe they know more than me.

I keep up with what is being sold on tv (shopnbc and HSN) probably more than anyone else here, I'm not a customer I just enjoy watching what they have at such bloated prices. I know I need to get a life, but especially HSN sells a tremendous amount of coins. Yet you rarely see any of these selling on ebay. That could be for several different reasons, but a tremendous amount of coins are being held by their buyers over and above the genuine 24K gold plated quarters. There is one exception to this and that was last year I saw people paying more on ebay for HSN MS67 Lincoln Cents. People were buying these on HSN in hudge numbers then selling them on ebay. If they didn't sell quickly they could be returned to HSN.

That movie was released in '63, way too long ago for a young guy like me.
