Ebay#160472821490, recognized this taler from the boston world coin auction on Heritage. Total with fees 1265.00 give or take? Now just 2 weeks later it is up on Ebay starting at 1400.00 or buy it now for 2400.00.

good eye .... seems like business as usual to me. Buy low sell high :)
Remember the vast majority of coin collectors have never heard of Heritage much less follow a coin auction , but on the other hand ebay is ebay :)

Don't forget... with eBay fees, $1400 is break even. After fees, $1400 is about $1265 or so (maybe a little more).

Never ceases to amaze me why people would buy expensive coins on Ebay. I am not talking a great deal, but just a regular price. Hmmm, do I want to pay $1000 for a coin from CNG and have their tag and recorded sale, or buy an Ebay piece. Well everyone knows anything bought on Ebay is guaranteed genuine. :)

I buy group lots on Ebay and make money. Every once in a while I will buy an individual coin at a good price, and I buy quite a few books there. Any kind of serious money for a coin goes to a serious firm, with documentation. I wonder if Ebay would let me write a guidebook on that for buyers?
