Have you ever cracked out a coin from a TPG slab? If so what method do you use? 1. The hammer, with slab protected in a rag, hammer the edge until it cracks: see link #1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3bLsPnFRj0 2. Metal cutters, use the metal cutters, or a bolt cutter to crack the slab: see link #2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bC-m7kH7qzw&feature=related 3. The yeeehaww method! See link #3  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10w3R6Go0zM&feature=related 4. You don't crack out coins.
Literally hundreds of different ways to crack them out, but a hammer or the edge of a c-clamp works well for me.
I've only done NGCs and I prefer my table saw. I set the depth so I can salvage the white core and, on edge, cut away the front on one slab and the back on another. Then I have two halves to glue together with my Sally Medal inside. (the label makes it clear that it is a fantasy slab!) PS: #4 was pretty funny!
oh my.. PCGS slabs - use wire snips at the 3:00 position. line it up and crack.. perfect.. one of these days for a joke I think I will auction all the cracked slabs NGC slabs are a pain.. I use a band saw on them
I thought everybody knew this. The proper way to crack out a coin is you first find some guy you secretly dislike. He holds the slab, upright, on the sidewalk. You swing the sledge. Two crackouts at the same time Efficiency in action
poor GD how many people have you got rid of in this fashion? time to send you back int he dungeon for giving these ideas to impressionable minds guards !!!!
