Looks like some of the good Houston luck made its way through the northeast.

Opened what is by far the best box I've ever had.....interesting thing is that it was sandwiched between 2 skunks. Also, these 3 boxes were not date stamped as has been the case recently, however; the box contained a 2009 so these were recently dumped and boxed.

Earliest date was a '24, it's in like, AG. Haha. That was the second one I pulled and I thought i just might be able to find a Barber in there, but it wasn't to be, unfortunately.

I should add, none of the silvers were in the customer wrapped rolls.

 

Yup, moving to philly. Ordered a box of dimes for tomorrow, and I got a FREE dollar at the bank today! An Ike was stuck in the penny arcade at TD, so they let me keep it, because it could have been "mine", just a bicentennial, but hey, it's a dollar.

 

just finished searching a box of halves got 5 40% this was my first time doing this and and this will not certainly be my last now !

anyone know if Quarters or dimes still get silver coins in them?? please PM if anyone knows

Finished another box of halves and no silver again. I did find 4 NIFC. Maybe I should join the dime craze. Ah, probably not since they are so small.

 

That is a good point... percentage wise, 27 silver dimes is the same as 10.8 half dollars, and if half of those 10.8 half dollars are 90%'s, you've got more silver there than I have in my 27 dimes.

I did a box of dimes today.....no silver and 3 2009P.

I did a box of halves today as well.....no silver

6 dollars of loose halves.....2 40%ers.

It has been so long since I had a really good silver find.....

I did find 22 rolls of MINT Wrapped Westward Movement Nickels for face. I'll sell most. I did get a P&D of 3 of the 4 issues....

 

is it a good idea to order a box of dimes/quarters instead of halves? I've only done this once as i posted above first time today of halves got 5 40%'s was amazed since it was my first time lol. was just wondering if you actually do get dimes and quarters with silver in them nowadys.

Why don't you just read the results posted in this thread? We're not here to spoonfeed you information, do a bit of reading. Jesus. If you'd just look at the top of the page you just posted on, you'd see I got a box of dimes and posted my results...

 

Its not like i can order a box of dimes right now and i will defiantly get 27 mercury's as you did. My question is would it be better to get a box of dimes instead of halves or the opposite. No need to get cranky my friend...either way ill just go with the halves

 

Nobody knows what will be better for you, is my point... it takes experimentation... I searched $10k in halves before I did a box of dimes, and my first was a skunk... another $3k in halves, then I got hooked on dimes. I tend to mix it up with a box of dimes and a box of halves or quarters. Might actually do dollar coins to try and find some errors...

BTW, it was 27 silvers, 19 Mercs.

 

Your luck with the dimes lately will probably result in myself searching a few boxes but I just had a good box of halves and I have to look for the bookend boxes that have the rest of the dump from whoever dumped them !!!

Just finished my 2nd box of halves skunked!

 

Nearly $900 in halves from 20 different banks and 230 miles later.......1-90%, 6-40%. Blah. Actually lost money this trip, $40 in gas netted me about $26 in silver. I was in someone elses territory. Nearly every bank I went to said some guy just came in a few days ago and cleaned them out. I was in southwest missouri.
