    A first.....wow.

Half my boxes are total skunks.

On that note, I searched one box of halves yesterday........I was skunked.

I did find two mint wrapped 2005 westward movement nickel rolls for face at a bank. :)

    Hey gang,

Haven't posted in a bit but here goes. Boxes have all but dried up around here. 14 of my last 17 were total shutouts. So I took a three week period off and picked up two boxes today to break the 3 week run. First box I found 1 1953 and in the second box found nothing. Like I said, boxes IMO have become negative returns for the gas and time involved. Over that same three week period I stopped at a total of 9 banks. The first week I stopped at 4 banks and was lucky enough to find one bank that had 3 rolls of which one was full silver and the second had 6 silver in it. The last week I took a road trip and stopped at 4 banks on the way to San Antonio. One bank had one Franklin, one bank was a shutout, one bank had 1 40% and the 4th bank had 60 silver halves including 14 1964's. Then today, I stopped at one bank which had one roll...19 Franklins and 1 1968. This is the second best ever roll I have found!

Anyway total for 3 weeks from 9 banks:

    20 Franklins
    19 1964's
    69 40%'ers.

    Last 19 boxes:

    15 shutouts
    1 Franklin
    1 1964
    6 40%'ers

Erin (jealous of the rest of the country's boxes lol)

Whether it's in boxes, loose or from some executive giving you a call, you always seem to have finds that I can only dream of. Your 3 week total for 90%s is about the same as mine is since April. Most times I'm lucky to find enough halves to fill 1 roll if I stop at a dozen banks.

    Keep up the good work.

Yes, I am grateful for what I have found in this area and been very lucky as far as the tellers. Believe me, the 19 Franklins in one roll blew me away! In the past 14 months I had only found 45 Franklins leading into today. I know some find lots of Franklins but we have a lot of searchers down here and the coins are mostly searched out.

I don't think it's searched out, I think you're just getting to it before it gets into circulation and boxes.

Picked up a few rolls today, nothing major, but found a 39 nickel, a few 09 cents, 1 2010 cent, and an '88 cent with a die crackright under the FG, from the memorial to the rim.

Ten rolls of pennies yielded a 1947 s wheat and about 20% copper

Ten rolls of nickels yielded 8 pre-1960 and one 1965 gem.

Yeah, I live a few miles from Erin and he finds everything before I can get to it. I've found like 21 Franklins in over a year, and he has tripled me in less time in the same area.

    Yep, I'm jealous. :)

    One box of dimes. :D

I'll let the pics say it all.

Technically, it wasn't a "box" of dimes as they were all loose rolls, including some customer wrapped rolls, but it was $250 worth of dimes. I'm pretty stoked right now. Best rolls were 5, 4, 4 and 3 silvers.
